simple and beautiful
Review:
"When seventeen-year-old Evelyn loses her family to a tragic car accident she is sent to live with her estranged aunt in the isolated town of Greyhaven, Scotland. But something isn’t right about the town. The people are all strikingly beautiful, with icy-blue eyes and perfect skin. After meeting the beautiful, but ruthless and taciturn Blake Greyson, Evelyn wants nothing more than to leave and never come back.
But when her dreams become haunted by a dead woman, Evelyn is compelled to find out why. Her inquiries only lead to a deeper mystery and revelations about the town and the people in it too strange to comprehend. When tragedy strikes again, Evelyn learns the truth of what is really going on and that she is inextricably tied to Blake Greyson. Evelyn is drawn to the boy who seems to be at the centre of the dark secret, but the closer she gets, the more dangerous their lives become.
This paranormal fantasy strikes the perfect balance between romance, intrigue, and suspense"
The Eternal is a paranormal fantasy that is told from the point of view of Evelyn. This story creates a good connection between a romance and the excitement of the book, which was never boring or lengthy. The pace of the story is good and the book easy and quick to read. We learn slowly and seamlessly more about the characters in the book and the backgrounds. However, sometimes you have a problem with Evelyn as a person getting warm. That said, it was an exciting book to read and I look forward to book 2. Similar style to Twilight and Fallen.
4/5 stars
